Not every job is a massive overhaul. Sometimes it's a few garden beds that just need some attention - and honestly, those smaller jobs can make a bigger difference than you' would expect.
Here is what we were working with. Existing beds that needed new edging, a few bare spots, and old mulch that had seen better days. We pulled out the worn edging, installed fresh border edging with clean curving lines around the beds, planted three new shrubs, and topped everything off with fresh red mulch. Simple work, done right.
The new edging is one of those details that ties everything together. It gives the beds a defined boundary, keeps the mulch from creeping into the lawn, and makes the whole yard look more intentional. The shrubs we dropped in fill out the beds nicely and will only look better as they grow and settle in.
Fresh mulch does more than just look good too. It holds moisture in the soil, cuts down on weeds, and protects plant roots. In the Eau Claire area, where summer heat can dry things out quickly, a solid layer of mulch does a lot of the work for you behind the scenes.
We don't always need a full landscaping overhaul on the schedule to make a real difference at a property. Sometimes the right call is showing up, handling the smaller stuff with the same care we give any big job, and leaving things better than we found them.
